Last week saw queries of a different nature here at Gin Fuelled Ltd.
As the world sees a mass influx of gins and consumers are moving away from quantity and into quality, pubs and bars are looking to broaden their horizons. There’s a general move away from the more commercial gins of Gordon’s, Hendrick’s and Bombay Sapphire and into the craft gin market.
To those who don’t have a mental database of gins, this can be a bit of a minefield. How do you choose?
Luckily, that’s where Charlie steps in and most recently paid a visit to Heaton Hops – not only to visit this new bottle shop come bar, but to help put together a spirits list, for both in house consumption and to take away. So along with your flagon of beer, you can grab yourself a bottle of gin, bourbon or rum.
After discussions with the owner, a list was formed and a local distributor selected.
Charlie is looking forward to chatting to another couple of bars locally who want to look at not only investing in craft gins for their customers, but also in tastings, to introduce these spirits to a new audience.
